Jean D. Francois MD obtained his Masters in Economics from Long Island University (Brooklyn campus). After working in accounting and finance for a Fortune 500® company, he responded to the persistent call of medicine by attending New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. There, he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine. During his residency in neurology at State University of New York, he continued his community involvement.
Dr. Francois was honored by the American Medical Association for outstanding community service in December 1997. He and 39 other resident physicians from around the United States were recognized as doctors who displayed "leadership and a strong commitment to the health of their patients and the community as a whole through community service outreach."
During his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, Dr. Francois served as Assistant Residency Program Director at SUNY Brooklyn Center. In an effort to broaden his skills to meet the needs of his community, he also obtained a Bachelors Degree in Theology.
